Taciano Wanderley

PhD Student

Taciano obtained his Bachelor degree from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil. During this time, he worked on the development of selenonium salts-based phase-transfer organocatalysts for alkylation reactions, under the supervision of Prof. Eduardo Alberto. Subsequently, Taciano moved to the University of Campinas to complete his Master’s degree. He undertook his Master's project in the group of Prof. Caio Oliveira, working on the synthesis of chiral bimetallic N-heterocyclic carbene complexes. In 2022, Taciano joined the Crisenza Group at the University of Manchester for his doctoral studies. Here, his research focuses on the design of electrochemical methods for olefins functionalisation.
In his spare time, Taciano enjoys watching TV shows and movies (especially horror ones!), traveling, and cooking.
